“ It's been 8 years since my review of 999. But there is a reason for a new review. They have moved, and you may be curious on how the move has had an impact on the restaurant. Well, to put it simply, it hasn't. The food is still excellent. The banh mi and egg rolls are as good as ever. No complaints at all. The soup was delicious and a good portion. No skimping here like so many other places seem to want to do. Egg rolls perfectly cooked and with the extra lettuce we ordered just a great app. The service was the same as well. Busy as they were they still got everything out in a timely manner and you still go up to pay at the counter. This really seems like a strange atmosphere for a Vietnamese place, but it really is the best restaurant to fill this space. I look forward to many more meals here and am so happy the move hasn't change the business one little bit. ”

“ Very excited to see 999 thriving in their new spot! Spacious and comfortable, clean and fast this is for sure a good spot for lunch or dinner in south Reno. My husband and I love Pho and 999 is always a good idea. Hubby started with a Vietnamese Coffee that he of course loved. I had tea, my old standby and was of course super happy. I had a bun bowl with steak and shrimp and it was wonderful. Bursting with flavor, plenty of veggies and the meat cooked perfectly. My husband got one of the combo plates and it was just loaded with a variety of offerings, all tasty and fun! The service was also very good, fast and efficient. Even in the new location it was PACKED! Can't wait to return for more. ”

“ This new restaurant took over the old Rusty Taco and it was poppin' when I went to pick up my To-Go order. The parking lot was full and it wasn't for IHOP next door. As soon as I got inside, I immediately noticed that they were packed and it was very busy. Signage could help guide people picking up orders since I had to stop as soon as I got inside to figure out where to pay and pick up my order. An employee who was seating customers guided me to the old bar area which is now where the cashier and To-Go orders are picked up at. Got home and ate dinner w/ the fam and boy was it good. They actually put enough meat to last the same time as the vermicelli unlike some other restaurants that just put a handful of meat and a ton of vermicelli. I do like my pork cooked well done but overall, this is going to be added as another option of places to eat in S. Reno! ”

“ I heard that they moved to this new, larger location and I have wanted to check it out. I was impressed when I came it at 3pm on a Saturday and it was packed! I was greeted right away and was seated at a small table. As many Pho places have, the menu is rather extensive with a huge variety of dishes. I was in the mood for a broth soup so I chose the Flank Steak and Brisket in beef broth. Served with diced green onion, sliced onions, flank steak, and brisket in a beef broth it also comes with basil, cilantro, and bean sprouts on the side. There are sauces and 2 choices of chili paste to be able to flavor the dish to your preferences. I enjoyed every slurp and bite of it! I will be returning for more! ”

“ First time inside of the new Pho999 accompanied by my friend Yasir and wife Fritzie W. I'm always impressed by how restaurants can takea place and truly make it their own, knowing this had been a taco place some time ago. It's been that long since I've been in the area. The place looked incredibly spacious. Maybe their choice of paint? The ambience was lovely as I looked around as people were enjoying their meals. Our waitress was kind, attentive to our needs bringing us a quick refreshment and appetizer all within a few minutes of us taking a seat. I would have the Combination Pho Bowl which is traditionally in most Pho restaurants served with a delicious beef broth, beef, tripe, meatball and brisket. Served with onions, scallions, cilantro and bean sprouts, jalapenos and lime. Yasir had the same. Fritzie enjoyed a nice Flame Broiled Chicken with a side of rice and veggies. Everything was wonderfully made and very delicious, served up piping hot from the kitchen. Three meals as a moderately affordable price, there was enough to take home with us! This was a wonderful evening to catch up with a friend and enjoy one of my favorite meals. We even ran into some more friends on the way out. I have a good feeling this location will be around for some time. Definitely head on over and check them out on a nice chilly evening. It'll be worth it! ”

“ Wow!!!!! Thank you to Owner Julie with 999 Pho for an outstanding 5 Star Pho dining experience. I ordered a Pho with Beef Broth and brisket. It came with Rice noodles. I added Veggies and extra sprouts. Emily had Pho with Beef Balls and Veggies. The restaurant was a large open space, clean and filled with new and happy customers. The Pho was incredible, healthy and filling. The beef broth and brisket 5 Star. It was so much, I took home my extra soup. Yea!!! This restaurant is a hit with South Reno. 999 Pho is in the Winco shopping center off South Virginia and this shopping center needed another good restaurant....and we are so glad you are here 999 Pho! “ Yesterday was one of those perfect days where food and family just come together seamlessly. I decided to bring my dad and his new girlfriend to Pho999, and let me tell you--it was an experience worth sharing. As we settled into the beautiful, airy space, the excitement was already brewing. Of course, I ordered my go-to: rare steak pho with the steak on the side. My dad opted for a lighter option--shrimp spring rolls, neatly cut and served with the classic peanut sauce. Naturally, I had to ask for a side of that "good" fish sauce because, well, stealing a spring roll or two is just what I do. My dad didn't mind, though--I think he expected it. Now, my dad's girlfriend? She came in swinging with what I can only describe as "Hell Pho." It was a vibrant, red-colored, spicy pho that looked both intimidating and absolutely mouthwatering. Once we all had our pho fixed up with the usual herbs, lime, and condiments, the real magic began. She couldn't stop raving about how flavorful and robust her pho was. "This is the real deal," she said, and we all nodded in agreement, savoring each bite. And for the Yelpers out there--don't skip the crispy wings as an appetizer. They're a must-try treat that perfectly sets the tone for the meal. By the end of our visit, we were all grinning from ear to ear, stuffed but already planning our next trip back. Pho999 nailed it yet again! ”

“ I went in during the opening week, to scope out their new place. They are located on the corner lot on Virginia St, where Winco located in South Reno. The place is actually very nice, menus have slight changed. They were busy when I went, service was quick, ambiance was causal, I haven't seen sea of people inside of a restaurant in a while. When I arrived. I intended to order Pho, I was told they are out of beef pho for the evening. I went with plan B, ordered Rice dish, The pork was nicely marinated, and it's is delicious, it doesn't disappoint. Couple of weeks later I went back, following my 1st visit, usually party of 3 or more. This time they do have pho. Perfect fix for a hearty meal on a cold night. I would highly recommend this restaurant to family and friends. ”

“ I am a pho enthusiast, I use to work in a pho restaurant long enough to know the elements of a good pho. I even go to LA just to have a bowl of pho. But this Pho 999 is one of the best, and the best in Reno. I have been eating here since they are in their old place. Only because of their pho and bun bo hue. The delicate taste of the broth they have is very tradition. My only negative comment is about their young lady the Mexican server who looks like hate her job and always frowning. Even she is in mistakes she gets mad at the customer. Whenever I dine here I just pray that young asian guy serves us. He is attentive and loves to serve. The ambience also is nice and clean. They are always busy but doesn't looks crowded which is great. ”

“ Whoa. Last review in 2022? Who knew! 999 is an old friend of mine for the food they serve is something for which I pine. That's enough rhyme because it's about time to rate this place. 999 you are an ace! Five stars across the board and a big congratulations on your new space. You made the move so fast and opened up making the other location a thing of the past. The new space is so fitting and seeing it full of customers made me so glad. It's really giving the greatness we all always knew you had! Not only all that, but somehow you found time to add more great items to your already huge menu too! Banh Xeo has made it's return and it was AMAZING to see it on every table. That new bigger kitchen is really doing a lot for you! I also had to try the Golden Pork Buns, which I will now recommend to everyone! This is a steamed bao bun stuffed with ground pork, mushroom and hard boiled egg that gets deep fried to golden perfection and is a must order! For the main, I hit my old standby number 65, the dry noodle combo. Most don't make it this far on the menu but I promise you'll be rewarded with springy egg noodles topped with ground pork, shrimp, and squid over lettuce and sprouts, all dressed in a sweet black pepper and fried shallot sauce and served with soup on the side. Add some chili of your choice and this dish is a total sleeper you need! We're so happy to have 999 in South Reno! Congrats again on a wonderful new location and making the move so flawlessly! ”
